a Birthday Wish

All these days I was really ignorant about birthdays. Anyone celebrating birthdays, I see tonnes of wallposts I wondered whats the point in really wishing for birthdays, my questions like, Do you really know what I'm going through? Do you really care about my birthday?Would you be there to help if I actually was in need?
I would admit my foolishness in such a perception.
I appreciate all the people who make it a conscious effort to wish someone on their birthday.

Its true we all have our own dreams and expections from one day in a year which is really special to us. But what if on the same special day if we are left ALONE.... With no one to talk or no one to give us attention?? That would be the most pathetic day of our lives.

Birthdays are much awaited by most people. We need to give them as much attention and care that we can. We never know what a person is going through on their special day.
So get in touch with them, buy a gift, sing a song, share some good words, spend some good time. I believe we would make difference for them.

After all, everyone has problems we need to support our brothers and sisters in need.

And an obvious ending to my writing... Thus making the world a better place to live in. :)

A Conversation with a Security Man

As I walk to pick up my plate at the cafeteria, I turned around to see all the tables were empty, deserted.

I just spotted one person who was half way through his meal, he was the security officer. I thought it would be good if I went and sat before him to eat. I served my little bit and went walking to his table.

He greeted me with a pleasant smile as I smiled back and we started off our conversation.

He looks fairly an old man probably in his early 50's. I happened to ask him how many kids do you have, he replied he had a son.

I asked him what his son was doing, while expecting that boy would probably be graduated by now, assuming his father's age. This man replied he is in Kindergarten. "Kindergarten??", I exclaimed.

He slowly muttered that he lost his older son and continued. His son was murdered by his college-mates. The father does not know the reason why his only son was killed. He said that he could not fight the case against the culprits considering the fact that he is a petty security man to bear all the legal expenses.

His son was placed in a nice job. He had to just start working after a few months of his course and bring up his family! Who knew all the dreams of a simple father would all come down crashing.

While I was stuck staring at him in a shock, he said,"sorry that I disturbed you", and he left.

I thought I should not complain about my own small problems in life knowing what this man went through.

Realization of the value of a Necessity

I used to watch-out for Merc, BMW, Bentley on the roads.... And now its for the RTC Bus.

I then realized the importance of a Bus, which I disregarded many a time. Came to know the value, until being deprived of public transport for a month.

Now, I really enjoy a Bus ride.

His Ways are Higher than mine

It really amazes me, the way God works.

At times we ask him for something, He wont give it until we leave it all to his will.

And when He gives, He gives in a way that I can only stand in awe of him.
